Get to know the 2023 Silverado 1500 Trim Levels
The Silverado 1500 has been a beloved truck for quite some time. The last model year saw a broad makeover, and this model year offers a wide variety of trim levels, powertrains, and features. With eight trim levels, there is no shortage of options for 1500 lovers.
WT
WT stands for work truck, and this trim level brings everything you need to withstand the wear and tear of work. This basic trim level comes with several different configurations. You can get a regular cab with a standard or long bed, a double cab with a standard bed, or a crew cab with a standard or short bed. It comes with a 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Even at the basic level, 1500 offers driver and safety features, including lane-keep assist, pedestrian detection, and lane-departure warning. It also includes automatic high beams, a check back seat reminder, and a teen driver report card.
Custom
The next trim level is the custom which is more straightforward when it comes to configurations. You can select from the double cab or the crew cab, and the only engine is the 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. You also find heated side mirrors, upgraded suspension, cruise control, EZ lift tailgate, and remote start. The driver's seat is more comfortable with ten power settings and lumbar support.
There is the option for a Custom Trail Boss, which allows you to upgrade to a 5.3-liter V8 or the 3.0-liter Duramax diesel engine. With the trail boss, you get a higher lift and can upgrade to four-wheel drive, and you have the option to get the trailer package and the off-road package.
LT
In addition to different engine options, the LT's interior is completely different from the trim levels below it. The LT gives you the option of a 6.2-liter V8 or a diesel engine. It has a 13.4-inch infotainment screen and 12.3 instrument cluster. It also has Google Maps, Apple Play, Android Auto, keyless entry, and auto start. This trim offers leather, a rear power window, a wireless charging pad, and a camera showing you the truck's bed. There is also the option of an LT Trail Boss, similar to the Custom Trail Boss.
RST
The RST trim has a sporty look to it. It offers many engine options, including the 2.7-liter, V8, and diesel. You can get it in a double cab or a crew cab. This trim has fog lights, LED tail lights, and body-colored bumpers.
LTZ
This trim offers heated and ventilated front seats and an upgraded Bose audio system. This trim also offers a safety alert driver's seat. The seat vibrates on the side where there is a potential danger to alert the driver. Additional options include a head-up display, power trailering mirrors, heated rear seats, and adaptive cruise control.
High Country
The High Country trim level builds on the LTZ and adds to it, making it a high-end trim. The additions include Hitch View guidance, dual exhaust, all-terrain tires, spray-in bed liner, and chrome exhaust tips. In addition, this is the only trim that offers super cruise, which is the semi-autonomous driving system. This system is sophisticated enough to change lanes by itself, even when towing.
ZR2
If you are interested in off-roading, this is the trim level for you. It has unique springs, shock dampers, and a two-speed transfer case. This trim provides better control when going low speeds while off-roading. It includes control during hill descent to reduce the need for the driver to use brakes. Also included is Terrain Mode, which allows you to use one pedal to move over rocky areas. This trim level includes skid plates to cover the front end, transfer case, oil pan, and differential case. Despite being more than fully loaded, this trim has optional upgrades. These upgrades include 18-inch gloss black wheels and a power telescoping steering wheel.
